Last week we had the privilege of following Jack and Courtney around for their big day. They were pretty much my favorite type of bride and groom. Super relaxed and laid back...and ready to party. And party they did! We couldn't have had better weather for a Saturday in October...or for any month. They picked the perfect background to match the perfect weather. Maymont Park here in Richmond really is an amazing place.  The magic of nature in the middle of the city.  I have photographed a few weddings at Maymont, most of which the ceremony was in the Italian Gardens, but this was my first time where the reception took place in the Nature Center.  It definitely provided the better backdrop for the awesome party that was Jack and Courtney's reception. Seriously, the best dance party of any wedding I have ever photographed!

Jack and Courtney agreed with doing a first look and all family and wedding party portraits before the ceremony which always makes for a less stressful and less rushed day. We had a relaxed 30 minutes of just bride and groom time from their first look at the gazebo to some mostly intimate portraits in the Italian Gardens (only had to dodge a few park visitors). The ceremony was beautiful with friends and family watching from all over the gardens as the couple shared their handwritten vows. After the ceremony they took a short carriage ride and we took advantage of a few last minutes before the sun set for some photos before heading straight to the nature center to start the party!

I just could not narrow down photos for their gallery... every picture was full of love...or hilarity.  While I am doing some final touchups on the whole album...Here is a small sample as a little preview....

I honestly do not know why there is a photo of someone's championship ring...one of the guests was very insistent that I take a photo of it so here it is! HA!
